On 23 September 2025, ICARDA will take part in the symposium “A Decade of Swedish–African Collaboration in Agricultural Science for Development in Africa,” held from 09:00 to 12:00 at Loftets hörsal, Campus Ultuna, Uppsala, Sweden. The symposium is one of two side events to the Agri4D 2025 conference hosted by SLU. The event will reflect on ten years of joint Swedish–African research partnerships that have advanced agricultural innovation, sustainability, and resilience across the continent.

Augusto Becerra, ICARDA’s Deputy Director General, will represent ICARDA in the closing panel discussion alongside the Novo Nordisk Foundation, SLU, NordGen, OLAM, and the Nordic breeding industry. The panel will focus on the future of agricultural development research and on building stronger interregional collaboration.
