In GoK-CGIAR Bhoochetana plus program, the main objective is to scale up the systems approach for improving rural livelihoods by adopting the principle of convergence, consortium, capacity building, and collective action. At each benchmark location, the area to be covered during the first year is 10,000 ha, the second year 20,000 ha, the third year 40,000 ha, and the fourth year 80,000 ha for scaling-up of science-led interventions in the areas of rainfed agriculture, irrigated agriculture, vegetable systems, crop-livestock systems and rural livelihoods for ensuring food security, prosperity and profits for the farmers.
