Our deepest condolences to the people of Morocco after the recent earthquake

Statement by Aly Abousabaa, Director General ICARDA, and CGIAR Regional Director, CWANA

Our heartfelt condolences extend to the people of Morocco in the wake of the devastating earthquake that has rocked the nation, causing tragic loss of life and widespread destruction. In these trying times, we stand in solidarity with the people of Morocco and acknowledge the government of Morocco's decision to observe three days of mourning following the quake.  

We send our thoughts and well wishes to the Moroccan community as we stand ready to provide support and solace in the face of this tragedy.

في أعقاب الزلزال، نتقدم بخالص التعازي لشعب المملكة المغربية جراء التبعات المدمّرة لهذا الحدث المأسوي الذي تسبب في خسائر في الأرواح ودمار واسع النطاق.

في هذه الأوقات العصيبة، نقف متضامنين مع الشعب المغربي ونساند قرار الحكومة المغربية بالحداد لمدة ثلاثة أيام في أعقاب الزلزال كما نتضامن مع المغرب في تعافيه وإعادة إعماره.
