ICARDA welcomes new Head of CODIS

ICARDA welcomes Andrea Gros, the new Head of CODIS. Andrea is an experienced manager for developing research based adoption strategies via innovative communication approaches to successful change of knowledge and agricultural practices. Her academic degree is based on economics, marketing and communication and she has gone through post-graduate university courses in sustainable development. As Head of Communication in International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Andrea managed the institutional communication department and its cross-media publishing unit. Her team got awarded in 2014 by the IITA Board of Trustees for the great advances made in external relations, information management and pick-up by mainstream media. Andrea looks forward to using her long time work experience and dedication to science communications for improving the quality of life in rural communities in the Dryland Areas.
