With COP27 coming up, Goethe-Institut Kairo, presents "Science Talks."
In this series of talks, experts will shed light on various climate topics relevant to the MENA region.

One of the important targets of the COP events is to agree on an implementation plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Emissions must halve by 2030 and reach ‘net zero’ by 2050 to keep global warming below 1.5 Celsius. Could COP27 change this course?

The Forum on Fostering Interregional Collaboration on Sand and Dust Storms will be held on 7–8 October 2025 at the United Nations House in Beirut, Lebanon. Organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), with the support of the Government of Sweden, the Forum is part of the United Nations Decade on Combating Sand and Dust Storms (2025–2034)
