ICARDA at World Water Week 2025

World Water Week, organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute, is the leading global conference on water, bringing together researchers, policymakers, businesses, and civil society to explore solutions for a more water-secure future. The 2025 edition will focus on “Water for Climate Action,” highlighting how water can drive resilience across food systems, ecosystems, and livelihoods.
ICARDA, together with FAO, CIRAD, the Ministry of Agriculture of Malawi, and AWSAMe partners, will convene a session on “Promoting Opportunity Crops towards the SDGs.” Dr. Krishna Devkota, Senior Scientist at ICARDA, will join a panel discussion to share evidence from ICARDA’s research and discuss how climate-resilient “forgotten” crops can be scaled into national strategies for food and water security. The panel will take place on 27 August 2025, from 16:00 to 17:30 CEST at the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre and online.
