ICARDA at the Global Conference on Women in Agri-Food Systems (GCWAS-2026)
ICARDA will participate in the Global Conference on Women in Agri-Food Systems (GCWAS-2026), taking place from 12–14 March 2026 in New Delhi, India.
The three-day conference is organized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the Trust for Advancement of Agricultural, CGIAR, and the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Authority, in collaboration with partner organizations. The event will be held at the Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Convention Hall, National Agriculture Science Complex (NASC), Pusa Campus.
Marking the International Year of Women Farmers (2026), GCWAS-2026 will convene more than 500 participants, including researchers, policymakers, representatives of CGIAR centers, non-governmental organizations, farmers’ organizations, women farmers, industry actors, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and students.
The conference will focus on women’s leadership, economic opportunities, gender-transformative innovations, and practical pathways to scale impact across agri-food systems.
ICARDA’s participation will showcase latest research insights on advancing inclusive and gender-responsive agri-food systems, particularly in dryland regions.
