The 4th World Irrigation Forum (WIF4), hosted by the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID), and the Malaysian National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (MANCID) is taking place from 7 to 13 September 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The forum will bring together global leaders in water management, irrigation experts, and representatives from international and national financing institutions and governments to explore innovative solutions for sustainable water use in agriculture.
ICARDA will be hosting a side event titled “Shaping the Future of Sustainable Water Management through Green Energy Transition and Precision Agriculture”, scheduled for 9 September 2025, from 16:00 to 17:30 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Dr. Mohie will deliver a presentation on “Green Energy Generation and Water Rationalization on the Farm Level”, highlighting ICARDA’s work on integrating renewable energy into farm irrigation systems to enhance sustainability.
