Crop Diversity Day Rabat 2024

Crop Diversity Day Rabat 2024, hosted by ICARDA, the Crop Trust, the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN, builds upon the momentum of the Global Crop Diversity Summit 2023 in Berlin. The workshop focuses on the MENA region, highlighting successful initiatives in crop diversity conservation and use. It aims to address urgent food security challenges and promote increased political and financial support for genebanks through the Crop Trust Endowment Fund.
Featuring speakers from research, government, donor, and international organizations, the event encompasses a genebank visit, providing a tangible connection to conservation efforts.

Crop Diversity Day Rabat 2024 aims to raise awareness among donors and partners, showcasing achievements and emphasizing the importance of sustained support for crop diversity conservation in the MENA region.
The workshop is scheduled for April 19, 2024, and will take place at ICARDA's Genebank in Rabat, Morocco.
