
Asma Jeitani is a MELIA Officer for the Genebanks Science Program, based in Lebanon. Her work lays the foundations for quality MELIA, including planning and implementing Program -level MELIA activities during the Inception Phase and beyond. Asma joined ICARDA in 2019 as a Data Curation Research Fellow and has been working since on activities mainly related to data curation, project configuration and follow-up on MEL platform, and suggestion of new concepts to the FAO AGROVOC thesaurus. Asma has a Master’s degree in Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences specialty Environmental Sciences from the Lebanese University.
