Dr. Zakaria Kehel is a genetic resources scientist and senior biometrician who leads gene bank accession mining and implementation of ICARDA’s Focused Identification of the Germplasm Strategy. He also conducts biometrics research, statistical genetics, and breeding data management. Previously, he was a senior biometrician at Bayer Crop Science in Belgium and a biometrician at the International Center for Maize and Wheat Improvement in Mexico. He holds a Ph.D. from the School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering at the University of Córdoba in Spain.
