Valentina De Col
Valentina De Col is an Agricultural Information System Officer at ICARDA’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), Knowledge Management sub-team. She is based in Germany. In mid-2020, she joined ICARDA, and since January 2022, she has been the principal officer within the ICARDA-MEL team in collaboration with the FAO-led AGRIS program. Currently, she is working on knowledge management and sharing activities, metadata curation, and One CGIAR reporting process for knowledge products.
Valentina’s prior experience included working with the international non-governmental organization Network for Information and Digital Access on science literacy and access to and use of information and knowledge. She has also been active in research, educational and community engagement projects, and sustainable agriculture.
Valentina holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Science and Technology and a Doctorate in Agricultural Science and Biotechnology from the University of Udine (Italy). She speaks English, Spanish, German and Italian.
