Pietro Bartolini
Pietro Bartolini is the Data Management Coordinator at ICARDA’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Team, and he is based in Italy. He joined ICARDA in 2019 as Project Management & Data Curation Officer.
Pietro worked as a consultant for COSPE Onlus on the "Opportunités Paysannes d'emploi en Agroécologie" project in 2021, analyzing the watershed scale and identification of potential sites for water harvesting interventions in Niger using remote sensing technologies.
His prior experience also includes work as a research assistant at the University of Florence in a project between the University and ICARDA, in the research program "Agropastoral system diagnosis: description of agricultural production systems and restoration interventions with a stress on their weaknesses and constraints."
Pietro has a Master’s Degree in Tropical Rural Development from the University of Florence, Italy, with a thesis about coffee production developed in Guatemala. He speaks English, Spanish, French and Italian.
