Masafumi Tamura

Mr. Tamura is a Capacity Development Specialist based in Cairo, Egypt. He joined the ICARDA Jordan office in 2015. He has been engaged with different research for development projects and capacity-building activities in the MENA region and other ICARDA mandate countries, including post-war fragile countries such as Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He is also responsible for the ICARDA E-learning program and ICARDA Capacity Development Alumni Program. Before joining ICARDA, he worked in Amman, Jordan, as the Project Formulation Adviser in the JICA Syria office. Mr. Tamura holds a master’s degree in International Development from the University of Bradford in the UK.
